Throughout my career, I've had the great privilege of winning numerous national and regional awards for my video and media work. Here's a list of the honors I've received.
2023 Telly Awards • Silver Winner
Piedmont Virginia Community College
"PVCC: A 50-Year History"
While working as the Multimedia Design Specialist for Piedmont Virginia Community College, I was asked to create a video to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the college and highlight various key events from the five decade history of the institution. The video was selected for a Silver Telly Award in the 44th Annual Telly Awards competition. This is the 6th Telly Award of my career.

"Alumni Wall"
While working as the Multimedia Design Specialist for Piedmont Virginia Community College, I handled the photography component for PVCC's new "Alumni Wall". The photos were incorporated into 12 wall-mounted display panels that were installed just outside of PVCC's Admissions Office. The project was given 1st place honors by District 2 of the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations in its 2019 "Medallion Awards".

PVCC Community Garden: Volunteer Stories
While working as the Multimedia Design Specialist for Piedmont Virginia Community College, I was asked to create a promo video for the college's community garden. I interviewed various volunteers and asked about their personal experiences with the garden and how they would encourage others to get involved. The video was honored by the Virginia Community Colleges Association in its 2022 "Excellence in Communications" awards.

My on-going "Majors in a Minute" video series project as part of my job as Multimedia Design Specialist for Piedmont Virginia Community College was honored once again by the Virginia Community Colleges Association. This time, I won first place in the 2019 "Excellence in Communications" awards.

2019 National Public Safety UAS Conference
One of my duties as Multimedia Design Specialist for Piedmont Virginia Community College, is to create a summary video of the college's annual Unmanned Aerial Systems conference. My 2019 video was honored by the Virginia Community Colleges Association in its 2019 "Excellence in Communications" awards.

"PVCC Is What You Make It" - 2018-2019 TV Campaign
As the Multimedia Design Specialist in PVCC's Marketing & Media Relations department I create all of the college's TV, radio and digital advertisements. The 2018-2019 "PVCC Is What You Make It" campaign was given 2nd place honors by District 2 of the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations in its 2018 "Medallion Awards".

PVCC Panther Mascot Reveal
During the 2017-2018 school year, the PVCC Marketing & Media Relations team created various promotional materials to promote the creation and naming of the college's new mascot. The project included graphic design (logos, posters, t-shirts, pennants), social media promotion, photography, and two video promos. I handled the photography and video production. The campaign earned our team first place honors at the Virginia Community Colleges Association's 2018 "Excellence in Communications" awards.

As the Multimedia Design Specialist in PVCC's Marketing & Media Relations department I create all of the college's radio and television commercials. I was given this Paragon Award for the series of radio advertisements that were part of PVCC's "Open the Door" branding multimedia initiative that included radio, TV, online and print components.

One of my main assignments as the Multimedia Design Specialist in PVCC's Marketing & Media Relations department is to create promotional videos for each of the college's 40+ academic programs. One of the most interesting of these was the Associate of Applied Science Degree in Culinary Arts. This marks the 5th Telly Award I have won in my career.

Virginia Film Festival
"25th Anniversary Special"
In the spring of 2012, the administration of the Virginia Film Festival approached myself and rest of the Creative Services and Promotions staff at The Charlottesville Newsplex about producing a 30-minute documentary to commemorate the 25th year of the Festival. From start-to-finish, the project took 6 months to complete. The final piece aired in every television market in the state of Virginia. I served as a scriptwriter, videographer and editor for the project.

Outstanding Public Transportation Marketing Award
Charlottesville Area Transit
"Reasons to Ride CAT"
While working as the Creative Services Director at The Charlottesville Newsplex, I partnered with the Marketing Coordinator of Charlottesville Area Transit to create three television ads for their "Reasons to Ride CAT" campaign. My video pieces worked in conjunction with radio, print and web components. The entire campaign was awarded the "Outstanding Public Transportation Marketing Award" for the Small System category.

Residence Inn: "Experience"
Shenandoah Spring Water: "Coffee Branding"
In 2010, I was honored to have two of my clients' television ads be awarded a Bronze Telly. My "Experience" ad, which was produced for the Residence Inns of Harrisonburg and Waynesboro, VA, and a spot promoting Shenandoah Spring Water's coffee services were both given this distinguished international award.

"Post-Employment Video"
In 2008, while working as a Creative Services Producer at WHSV, the station's General Manager requested that two employee training videos be made. I volunteered for the assignement. I did all the scriptwriting, videography and post-production for a 5-minute "pre-employment" video that would shown to all applicants, and a 20-minute video to be shown to all new hires. The "post-hire" video won the Telly - my first professional award.

"One Day, One Community"
During my senior year in James Madison University's Media Arts & Design program, the Advanced Post-Production class was tasked with producing a 30-minute documentary about the community JMU and the surrounding area. This was semester-long project which culminated in a 24-hour editing session to bring the project to completion. I was a field producer, videographer and editor for this project.
